Do you desire to learn a musical instrument?  The piano is a great place to start your musical journey!  Mrs. Abigail Cook has been playing the piano for 20+ years, and she loves sharing her joy for music with others.  She teaches students ages 6+ from beginner to early advanced.  For more details on pricing, see my FAQs and Studio Policy below.

Available Piano Lesson Formats:

• Studio piano lessons are taught in Zionsville, PA.
• Hybrid piano lessons use a combination of studio and online lessons to fit the student's needs.
• Online piano lessons use Skype to interact face-to-face and offer no location limitations.

FAQs

Is a keyboard acceptable?

Yes, a keyboard is acceptable for beginning students; however, as the student progresses in their piano studies, they will need a sustain pedal and an 88 key weighted keyboard or acoustic piano.

What styles of music do you teach?

I primarily teach classical and sacred music styles.  Students are given a taste of other music styles through their piano method books.

What is your system of teaching?

I emphasis note reading and facilitate the natural creativity of my students.  Typically, I suggest using a lesson book (Wunderkeys or Faber and Faber), a sightreading book, and also music the student wants to learn (either classics, hymn arrangements, popular songs, etc.).  However, this is just a template and varies by student, their level, and music goals.

Do you teach music theory?

I teach applied music theory with online resources and by studying a music score with students.

What days do you teach?

Currently, I teach Mondays through Thursdays.

How much do you charge?
